Aboriginal Incursions provide cultural learning opportunities for entire schools, individual classes, special needs organisations, preschools and early learning centres. Students and teachers learn and value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and knowledge. Aboriginal Incursions programs are all presented by authentic Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander educators and cultural workshop facilitators.

Aboriginal Incursions first nations education programs are entwined with contemporary aboriginal entertainment to keep our Incursions exciting and fun for students and teachers. This helps all participants enjoy the education and retain the knowledge learnt.

Connie Dawson has been presenting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural Incursions into schools and early learning centres Australia-wide well before Indigenous culture was added to the Australian Curriculum. Her experience and ability to customise Aboriginal workshops to suit each institutions requirements and size make her the go to person for principles, headmasters, teachers and school staff. All our facilitators are Working With Children Certified.

A parent herself with teenage Aboriginal daughters, Krystal and Sienna who are now actively involved in the future of the company and are themselves amazing young Gamilaroi (Kamilaroi) women through blood and song-lines who where born on Gadigal and have been dancing and sharing culture on Country all their lives.

Aboriginal Incursions programs enrich each schools cultural understanding and provide opportunities for students and teachers to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples first-hand. Our educators help develop students’ identities where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and knowledge are a part of each individual student’s identity.

Krystal and Sienna Dawson are now actively involved in the future of the company and are themselves amazing young Gamilaroi (Kamilaroi) women through bloodline and songlines. Born on Gadigal they have learnt, danced and shared culture across the Eora Nation all their young lives.
